My journey with Huawei began in 2020 when they launched a theme design competition. Although I did not place in the top three, shortly after the competition, I received a call saying they liked my designs and wanted to work with me remotely alongside designers selected from around the world. They asked if I was interested in working with them, and thus, I started working remotely with Huawei as a theme designer, along with 250 designers selected from around the world. For each theme, I created separate concept designs, produced wall art with my illustration work, designed icons in Adobe Illustrator, and combined all these in a program called Huawei Studio to create functional, working themes.
In February 2024, due to Huawei’s decision to withdraw from the European and American markets, our collaboration, along with all other designers working from outside China, was terminated by the brand.
